2023, the National Mourning Day and 48th martyrdom anniversary of
Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed by
Moanoghar through different programs. In the morning led by Ashok Kumar Chakma,
Executive Director of Moanoghar, a floral wreath was offered at the Bangabandhu
mural at CO Office Area in Rangamati.
To commemorate
the day, the Moanoghar Residential School undertook different programs. Led by
Jotil Bihari Chakma, Principal of the school, a team of teachers and students
offered a floral wreath to the Bangabandhu mural in the morning. The school
also organised different events such as recitation of poems, drawing and essay
competition with active participation of the students.
It is notable
that the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with his
family members was assassinated by some disgruntled military officials on 15
August 1975. This day was one of the darkest chapters in the history of
Bangladesh.
